Chocolate Chocolate Chip Ice Cream

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened chocolate
  • 1 pint heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips, roughly chopped

Combine sugar and unsweetened chocolate in a small saucepan with a splash of water. Bring to a boil, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat.

Pour heavy cream into a blender and whip, adding chocolate syrup slowly. Toss in chocolate chips after fully incorporated. Pour into a plastic quart container and freeze.
