Fanny Rice

  • 1 1/2 cups medium or long-grain rice
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 shrimp-flavored bouillon cube
  • 2 1/4 cup water

Heat olive oil in a wide pan. Sauté onion until soft. Add bouillon, cooking until gently browned. Add rice and stir, coating grains with olive oil. Add water and stir, then cover and cook over low-medium heat until rice is tender.
