Sausage, Apples, and Potatoes

  • 1 Granny Smith apple, sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 4 sweet Italian sausages, split
  • 4 medium potatoes, cubed
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine

In a heavy fry pan with a cover, cook the sausages. Remove from heat and set aside. Add 1 tbsp of butter and melt, then sauté onion on low until soft. Add potato and apples. Cover and steam for 30 minutes or until potato is cooked. Add sausages and remaining butter, melting to form a gravy for serving.
