Spicy Sichuan Green Beans

  • 1 lb green beans, trimmed
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 tsp chili garlic paste
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced whites only
  • 3 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes

Heat oil in wok over medium-high heat. Add green beans and stir fry until they shrivel. Add garlic, green onions, chili paste, soy, rice vinegar, water, sesame oil, sesame seeds, and pepper flakes. Cook for a few minutes more until almost all the liquid is gone. Garnish with sesame seeds and serve.
